New Station Opening!

The new Quinns Rocks Volunteer Bush Fire Station will be officially opened today by the Mayor of the City of Wanneroo, Jon Kelly.

After more than 5 years of lobbying and construction spanning over some 2 years, the brigade is excited to have a new base of operation to take them into the future.  The move from what was a large garden shed at Gumblossom Reserve in Quinns Rocks (pictured below) to a new purpose built facility has enabled the brigade to continue to grow in numbers and allowed the location of all 4 fire appliances in the local area for the first time.

The construction of the station would not have been possible without funding from the State Government of Western Australia and Emergency Management Australia (Fed Govt), along with a large number of donations from individuals and companies here in Western Australia.  This, along with the tireless work of brigade members (volunteers), council and local FESA staff has resulted in a state-of-the-art facility built to serve the local community for many years to come.
